"Galaxies" a trustworthy open access peer reviewed journal?

I'm not sure where to post this, so I figured Academic Guidance is the best fit for the question.

MDPI was included on Jeffrey Beall's list of predatory open access publishing companies in 2014[2][3] and was removed in 2015.[4] Beall's list was shut down in 2017; Beall later wrote that he had been pressured to shut down the list due to pressure on his institution from various publishers, specifically mentioning MDPI.[5]

Thanks. Is that necessarily an indictment on studies published there or on the way the publisher goes about taking advantage of scientists? Either way, it’s enough to make me go running away.
