Is there a process where gas can turn extremely dense and absorb force? I appreciate all answers. Thanks

If I'm not mistaken, trying to compress a gas will absorb force. Do you need it to be super dense?

yes. It needs to be that dense. But if gas is compressed wouldn't it turn into a crystal. Thanks.
