Umm.. I think you have to go into 2nd then 0 or one of the buttons around there, to get to the catalog then the first option in there is abs( which is absolute value.

I picked up this problem from the Schaum's series book titled "College Mathematics" by Ayres/Schmidt. It is a solved problem in the book.
