Help TI-84 CONICS App is Giving Trig Formulas

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The TI-84 CONICS app is incorrectly displaying formulas in trigonometric form instead of the standard algebraic format. Users reported that the equation for a circle is shown as x=rcos(T) + H rather than the expected (x-h)² + (y-k)² = r². To resolve this issue, it is essential to access the MODE settings and ensure that FUNC is highlighted to revert to the normal formulas.

PREREQUISITES
  • Familiarity with TI-84 calculator functions
  • Understanding of conic section equations
  • Basic knowledge of calculator settings and modes
  • Experience with navigating calculator menus
NEXT STEPS
  • Research how to navigate the TI-84 MODE settings
  • Learn about the different modes available on the TI-84 calculator
  • Study the standard equations for conic sections
  • Explore troubleshooting common TI-84 calculator issues
USEFUL FOR

Students, educators, and anyone using the TI-84 calculator for geometry or algebra who needs to understand and troubleshoot the CONICS app functionality.

TI-84 HELP!
The formulas under the CONICS app keeps converting into trig... It saying a circle is
x=rcos(T) + H instead of (x-h)^2 + (y-k)^2 = r^2
How do I get the 'normal' formulas back?
PLEASE HELP!

Try hitting MODE, and make sure that FUNC is highlighted?
