Help with this mechanism (acceleration with graphic method)

Click For Summary

Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around a mechanism analysis, specifically focusing on determining acceleration using a graphical method. Participants are examining the velocity and acceleration diagrams related to the mechanism's motion.

Discussion Character

  • Technical explanation, Conceptual clarification, Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant expresses difficulty in drawing the acceleration diagram and calculating the acceleration of point "G".
  • Another participant inquires about the direction of rotation, seeking clarification on the mechanism's motion.
  • A subsequent response confirms the direction of rotation as counterclockwise, specifically referencing link AB.
  • A request is made for the original poster to share their work on velocities to facilitate further discussion.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants have not reached a consensus on the correctness of the acceleration diagram or the calculations, and there are multiple inquiries regarding the direction of rotation.

Contextual Notes

The discussion does not clarify the assumptions made in the acceleration diagram or the specific values used in the velocity diagram.

Who May Find This Useful

Individuals interested in mechanical systems, graphical methods in kinematics, and those seeking assistance with similar mechanism analysis challenges.

Hi guys!
I have problems with this mechanism...finding the aceleration with graphic method.

I already have drawn the speed diagram and the values of all of them.

But, i dont know if my aceleration diagram it is well drawn. I'm stuck especially when trying to plot and calculate the acceleration of "G"
