SUMMARY

The discussion centers around the validity of a roulette cheat cookbook that claims to predict where the ball will land based on mathematical formulas related to the physics of roulette wheels. Key formulas mentioned include V(t) = V0 - kt and x(t) = V0*t - k/2*t^2, where V0 represents instantaneous velocity. Participants debate the authenticity of the document, with some asserting that it is a scheme designed to exploit gamblers. The conversation highlights the need for extreme precision in applying the formulas to achieve any predictive success.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of basic physics principles related to motion and deceleration
  • Familiarity with mathematical functions and calculus
  • Knowledge of roulette mechanics and casino operations
  • Ability to interpret mathematical formulas in the context of gambling
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the physics of roulette wheels and how they operate
  • Study the mathematical principles behind motion and deceleration
  • Examine historical attempts to predict roulette outcomes, including Edward O. Thorp's work
  • Explore the ethical implications of gambling strategies and casino regulations
USEFUL FOR

This discussion is beneficial for mathematicians, physicists, gambling enthusiasts, and anyone interested in the intersection of mathematics and casino gaming strategies.

Hi I've found this cookbook on web for predict where roulete drop the rim
here's link but if you look at page 18 you've found something strange...
(about decelleration on central rotor)

well V(t)=V0-kt
then x(t)=V0*t-k/2*t^2

ok then V0=(1+k/2*T0^2)/T0

where T0 is time for one revolution, ..?
so V0 is istantaneus velocity? It's so simple to calculate it? from a time
and a decelletation parameter? then look @ minimizing? this funtion is equal i-1!

so the question is but is a fake?
Thanks

Hi Meir Achuz,
so you think that this document isn't a fake althought I think that to work you'll need an extreme precision...

any other comment?

I think what he means is that it's designed by casinos and people that live off gamblers to convince gullible people to cheat the aforementioned casinos and hand them over all their money while doing so.

Thanks to all for comments,

to AlephZero:

I think that you r math skilled, so look at page 18 of the pdf,

I think that last formula @ the botton of the page isn't right
where
V0=(1+k/2*T0^2)/T0

What do you think?

to Unicyclist

your Idea is really really realistic. I agree.

It looks right to me. Read the page carefully. It is not a velocity v_0, it is a frequency \nu_0

:bugeye: gulp! yep ops you're right, thanks.
