Hoverboards - Flying Saucers - Jet Packs

In summary, the website Future Horizons offers a variety of futuristic transportation devices such as hoverboards, flying saucers, and jet packs. While the JetPack design has been debunked by the TV program "Mythbusters," the Flying Saucer may have a chance of working. However, some people question the practicality and safety of these devices, as seen in the discussion about the ducted fans potentially causing mayhem if they were to be used for transportation.

I think the TV program "Mythbusters" debunked the JetPack design, but why should they have all the fun?

Come on guys and gals, rip these guys a new one.

I think the Flying Saucer actually has a chance of working (smile).http://www.futurehorizons.net/HVR2.jpg

Then explain to me how someone could spend $49.95 to $9,000.00 on something that will never work (smile).

I liked the look of the ducted fans, but if they ever came on the market for legal transport
can you imagine the mayhem, people dangling from power lines here there and every where, stuck in trees, dangling from over head road signs, hanging out with boys??

1. What exactly is a hoverboard?

A hoverboard is a personal transportation device that is designed to look like a skateboard but does not have any wheels. Instead, it uses magnetic levitation technology to hover above the ground and move in different directions.

2. Can hoverboards really fly like in the movies?

No, hoverboards do not have the ability to fly like in the movies. They can only hover a few inches off the ground and are limited to forward and backward movement.

3. How do flying saucers work?

Flying saucers, also known as UFOs, are believed to be spacecraft from other planets. However, there is no scientific evidence to support this claim. Some people believe that flying saucers use advanced propulsion systems, such as anti-gravity, to fly.

4. Are jet packs a real thing?

Yes, jet packs do exist, but they are not as common as they are portrayed in movies and TV shows. Jet packs use powerful engines to propel a person into the air, but they are limited to short flights and are not able to fly long distances.

5. Can anyone use a jet pack or hoverboard?

Not necessarily. Jet packs and hoverboards require proper training and expertise to operate safely. They are also not legal for use in public areas in most countries. It is important to follow all safety precautions and regulations when using these devices.
