Hi All,

I need to calculate the index time of the following:

Max Velocity = 2700mm/s
Accel = 4000mm/s/s
Decel = 4000mm/s/s
Index Distance = x

What Equations do I need to utilize in order to calculate the total index time for a specified distance?

Can you be more specific? Is this homework? If so then you need to show some work.

I assume by index time you mean to write an equation for distance which is a function of t using the velocity and accelerations provided. You haven't provided a context like is this on the Earth with a ball thrown into the air or a ball rolling down a ramp...
