SUMMARY

The discussion centers on removing the blue box that appears around axis labels in SciDAVis, specifically on an Athlon-based system running Debian Linux. Users have reported that this blue box persists even after exporting the plot, indicating a lack of settings within SciDAVis to disable it. While some users resort to using image editing software to erase the box, the primary focus is on finding a solution directly within SciDAVis. The discussion highlights the learning curve associated with the application but ultimately praises its capabilities.

PREREQUISITES
  • Familiarity with SciDAVis version used for graphing functions
  • Basic understanding of Debian Linux operating system
  • Knowledge of exporting plots in SciDAVis
  • Experience with image editing software for post-processing
NEXT STEPS
  • Explore SciDAVis documentation for settings related to axis label formatting
  • Research community forums for similar issues and solutions regarding SciDAVis
  • Learn about customizing plot exports in SciDAVis
  • Investigate alternative graphing tools if issues persist

This might be the wrong forum for this question, anyway here it is:

I'm using SciDAVis on a Athlon based system running Debian Linux. I am try to produce some graph of functions. The math part is working fine. However, when I try to change the axis labels, a blue box forms around the axis label and remains there.

When I export the plot, the blue box is still there. There seems to be an absence of any setting that I can find to turn off the blue box. I can erase it with a image editor, alhtough I'd rather just get rid of it in SciDAVis if possible.

I got it going on. It was just a bit of that new app learning curve.

SciDAVis is really an awesome app. So glad to have found it.

Thanks,

Fred
