Homework Statement


The question is pretty basic, but for some reason I can't find a way to do it.

I just need to find out what Eo is.

I am given nTo= Eo-(2/7)sin(Eo)
n=1 rad/tu
To = 2.146 tu

2.146 rad = Eo - (2/7)sin(Eo)

The Attempt at a Solution



I tried to factor out Eo.
so

2.146 = Eo(1-(2/7)sin(theta).
but obviously that doesn't work.

It's a transcendental equation involving the unknown in an essentially non-algebraic way. You will need to solve it numerically.
