How does an air bubble on a submerged solid affect its measured density?

I have a quick question.
An air bubble adheres to the surface of the solid when it is submerged in the water. Explain how this phenomenon affects the reported density of the solid.

If a layer of air develops around an object that is submerged, the air will add to the net buoyant force acting on the air+object system, since air is much less dense than water.
