Dear forum members
How to block tunneling current?
Apart from barrier dimensions like height and thickness are there any other options? Say barrier geometry or chemical property, maybe some magnetic impurity to induce Kondo effect and scatter the tunneled electrons.
Thank you in advance

I could think of loads of things and they're all biological or chemical.

The common cold is pretty good at knocking out the quantum tunnelling that happens in the nose. Anaesthetics knock out any tunneling happening in quantum consciousness. I have this stuff called 'Neroli Oil' that stops 'thinking' yet not consciousness.

I'm not sure if this is the information you were looking for though.
