How to calculate maximum gearbox input torque

Click For Summary
To calculate the maximum input torque for a gearbox with a 200:1 ratio and an input speed of 258 RPM from a 2HP motor, the formula HP = (Torque x Speed) / 5252 can be used. The gearbox is rated for 0.093HP at this speed, which translates to a maximum torque of approximately 1.89 lb-ft. At a standard input speed of 1750 RPM, the gearbox's rating increases to 0.633HP. Understanding the relationship between horsepower, torque, and speed is crucial for accurate calculations. This information is essential for ensuring the gearbox operates within its specified limits.

I am a bit confused by a customer and their request to know what the maximum torque he can apply to a gearbox when the motor input speed is 258rpm.
The motor is a 2HP brakemotor, 1750rpm at 60Hz, 460VAC 3phase, 1.65 amps motor tested.
The gearbox has a 200:1 ratio rated for 0.093HP with an input speed of 258rpm, with a standard 1750rpm input speed the same gearbox is rated for 0.633HP.

Any help in clearing up how to calculate maximum input torque would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all who reply.

Had my central air system checked when it sortta wasn't working. I guess I hadn't replaced the filter. Guy suggested I might want to get a UV filter accessory. He said it would "kill bugs and particulates". I know UV can kill the former, not sure how he thinks it's gonna murder the latter. Now I'm finding out there's more than one type of UV filter: one for the air flow and one for the coil. He was suggesting we might get one for the air flow, but now we'll have to change the bulb...
