How to display a normal CDF graph on the TI-84 calculator

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

To display a normal cumulative distribution function (CDF) graph on the TI-84 calculator, users must access the distribution menu by pressing 2nd and then DIST. They should select option 2, which corresponds to the normal CDF function, and input the parameters as -1E99 for the lower bound, 0 for the mean, and 0.5 for the standard deviation. After selecting 'Paste' and entering the equation in the Y= screen, the graph should display correctly. Users have confirmed that following these steps resolves the issue of not being able to graph the CDF.

PREREQUISITES
  • Familiarity with the TI-84 calculator interface
  • Understanding of normal distribution concepts
  • Basic knowledge of graphing functions on calculators
  • Ability to navigate the distribution menu on the TI-84
NEXT STEPS
  • Research how to customize graph settings on the TI-84 for better visualization
  • Learn about the differences between normal CDF and normal PDF functions
  • Explore additional statistical functions available on the TI-84
  • Study how to interpret the results of a normal CDF graph
USEFUL FOR

Students, educators, and anyone using the TI-84 calculator for statistical analysis, particularly those working with normal distributions.

I am not sure where to ask this question but I must try somewhere.

1. Homework Statement

I am trying to graph a simple cdf on my ti-84 and I cannot get it to work.
I need an example to follow

Homework Equations

See below.

The Attempt at a Solution

2nd, dist, 2
enter -1E99,0 0,.5
[/B]I also select paste and enter.
the equation is listed in the Y= screen.

However, I cannot get a graph. Is there a trick here??
