Have any of you ever sent materials such as catalysts overseas?

It really depends on the specific chemical... many different things can act as catalysts for some kind of reaction.
 
Well, they can be easily purchased in almost any country. The materials are zeolites, ZnO and SiO2. I wonder if I will need some kind of permit or something.

You should probably talk to your shipper about what US Customs forms or declarations you will need.
