what is hyperfine interactions? how is it related to hyperfine transition in Cs-133 and atomic clocks?

Hi,
hyperfine interaction is related to the interactions (HI) between electron energy levels..or more specifically the interaction between nucleus and its surrounding electrons.
May the transition between energy levels of Cs atom is related to HI.
