SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the search for IAU rotational models for the planets in the Sol solar system, specifically for use in an orbital flight simulator project. The user initially struggled to find relevant information but eventually discovered the IAU WGCCRE papers available on the USGS website, which provide comprehensive rotational element tables for all planets and their satellites. This resource is crucial for developers and researchers needing accurate planetary rotation data.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of IAU rotational models
  • Familiarity with orbital mechanics
  • Knowledge of planetary science
  • Basic skills in data analysis and interpretation
NEXT STEPS
  • Research IAU WGCCRE papers for detailed rotational element tables
  • Explore algorithms for planetary rotation modeling
  • Learn about the USGS Astrogeology Science Center resources
  • Investigate tools for simulating orbital mechanics in software
USEFUL FOR

This discussion is beneficial for developers of simulation software, planetary scientists, and researchers focused on celestial mechanics and planetary rotation data.

TL;DR
Looking for some information about IAU rotational model information.
I am developing my own project called orbital flight simulator myself. I was looking for some IAU rotational model about all planets (Sol solar system) through the Internet and my books but was unable find any information. Does anyone have good books or information (tables and algorithms like pole and meridian) about IAU rotational models for all planets?

Well, no one response my question. I now found IAU WGCCRE papers on USGS website that provides complete rotational element tables for all planets and satellites.

Would you happen to have the link?

Thanks, I'll check them out when I have some time.
