String Theory: Multiverse & Dimensions

Click For Summary

Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around the concepts of string theory, specifically focusing on the existence of multiple universes and their dimensional properties, including the notion of hyperspace. Participants explore whether these universes can exist in different dimensions compared to our own.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory
  • Conceptual clarification
  • Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant questions whether string theory implies the existence of multiple universes and if these universes must exist in different dimensions, suggesting the possibility of numerous 3D or 4D universes.
  • Another participant inquires about the inclusion of hyperspace within string theory.
  • A participant provides a link to additional resources, claiming that the linked text addresses questions about extra dimensions and their implications.
  • One participant expresses gratitude for the link, indicating it was helpful.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

The discussion does not appear to reach a consensus, as participants raise questions and provide resources without resolving the inquiries about multiple universes and dimensions.

Contextual Notes

Participants rely on external resources for clarification, which may contain assumptions or definitions that are not fully addressed in the discussion itself.

Does it include multiple universes? and does each universe have to be in different dimensions like our universe right now is 3D (not including time) or 4D (including time) can there be another one or two or one hundred other 3D/4D universe?

And does the String Theory include Hyperspace?

hello? anybody?

all the answers to your questions are in the above link. Just read the text with the title : introduction to string theory part 1,2 and 3...all is in there.

It will answer questions like why extra dimensions, what do they represent and how can we possibly "see" those extra dimensions...
