Is there any chance I can increase the size of my avatar?
As it is, my avatar contains text that is only just readable.

I'm pretty sure avatar sizes have a roughly standard maximum which IMO is a good thing that not enough forms appreciate. For what it's worth I can read your text fine from an ipad screen.
