Homework Statement

Write down the intensity equation for a two-slit interference pattern with diffraction effects included. Indicate which part originates from double-slit interference and which part from single-slit diffraction. What happens when the angle = 0

Homework Equations

I_Double=4*I*cos²[(pi*d)/(lambda*L)]y

I_Single=I_o[sin²(pi*a*sin(theta)/lambda)]/(pi*a*sin(theta)/lambda)²

The Attempt at a Solution

My book doesn't mention anything about I_Single so I'm not sure if that is the correct equation. I am not sure where to begin.
