Just want to know if anyone is familar with this, and if they can explain what he is doing too make it work, or if it;s just a hoax like many people believe?

He's a run-of-the mill perpetual motion hoaxster/crackpot, so the best guess is, he just powers it with batteries. Voodoo Science by Robert Park goes into some detail about him and other frauds.

Also, fyi, we don't discuss crackpottery here, it gets in the way.
