A lot of threads I've been looking at doesn't display the Latex code. It just says: Latex code: blahblahblah. All underlined. What's wrong?
The forum discussion centers around ongoing issues with LaTeX rendering on the Physics Forums platform due to disk drive problems, which have resulted in users being unable to post or preview LaTeX code correctly. Users report that even previously functional LaTeX code fails to display properly, and the community is awaiting a resolution from the administrators. Suggestions for alternative methods of displaying mathematical expressions without LaTeX are also discussed, highlighting user frustrations with the current LaTeX implementation.
PREREQUISITESThis discussion is beneficial for forum administrators, users reliant on LaTeX for mathematical expressions, and developers looking to enhance user experience in online communities.
Attention: LaTeX is currently not working. We're experiencing some disk drive problems and files are unable to write at this time. We are looking into replacing the drive shortly. Thanks!
Yes, unfortunately, LaTeX is still down. We are aware of the problem and hopefully chroot will be able to resolve it soon.caseyjay said:Is Latex still down? I can't seem to produce right Latex despite I thought what I typed was compliant to Latex code.

Moonbear said:Decent enough, yes. I just go for plain and simple, like: 1/2
