A recent discussion highlights concerns about a website that allegedly allows users to view their own and others' driver's licenses online, including personal details like age, weight, and photos. Participants express outrage over privacy violations and the implications of such information being publicly accessible, dubbing it a "police state" situation. Some users attempted to remove their information from the site, which reportedly keeps it available to law enforcement. However, skepticism arose regarding the legitimacy of the site, with warnings from Netcraft labeling it a phishing scam. While some users dismissed the site as a harmless joke, others emphasized the risks of potential spyware and keylogging. The conversation reflects a mix of serious privacy concerns and humorous banter, with users debating the site's credibility and safety. Overall, the thread underscores the tension between personal privacy rights and online security in the digital age.

I hope you know that I was completely kidding in my reply, just to get more people to have fun :blushing:
Everyone knew (I guess except our two more paranoid members) that it was a joke.

People actually fell for that? It's not even a .gov website and there's no such thing as the National Motor Vehicle License Bureau. Each state grants vehicle licenses individually.

My only concern was the netcraft warning. When you've had your personal systems DDOSed, you get paranoid. I even encrypt IM traffic now.

edit: I really like this new edit box. A lot.

It's always best to be safe than sorry, I did thoroughly check the website out before posting it.

One of the guys I work with had sent it to our group and one guy wrote back to him "I found my driver's license, but there must be some glitch, it had your picture on it".
