Hello.

Apparently for SU(N) gauge theories there is a perturvative approach call "large N expansion". I need a working knowledge of this method but I can not find it in any textbook only in research papers that are rather for the expert. Someone has any suggestion where should I get started?
Can it be found in Weinberg's?

Thank you in advance

Zee, QFT in a Nutshell, gives a short (3 pages) introduction to the idea.

I always liked some notes by Manohar http://arxiv.org/abs/hep-ph/9802419. The first several sections are generic, discussing both vector and matrix large N, while the later sections get into more detailed QCD physics.

Thank you very much. I already knew about Zee's but is too short I will give now a try to Manohar.

If we release an electron around a positively charged sphere, the initial state of electron is a linear combination of Hydrogen-like states. According to quantum mechanics, evolution of time would not change this initial state because the potential is time independent. However, classically we expect the electron to collide with the sphere. So, it seems that the quantum and classics predict different behaviours!
