Okay, I'm doing my yr 11 Mathematics assignemnt and I need help.

How do you find a Logistic or Polynomial function/equation using data? (in steps please!)
I could just give some example data as... an example, but I think I'll just throw 1 small section of my assignment, use the data or don't:

Côte d'Ivoire (TB infected)
Year 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006
Population 5,899 6,592 7,338 8,199 9,081 10,160 11,446 12,826 14,444 16,689 20,293

I don't have any function or equation to work with, just this data!

I really need help with this, please get back to me ASAP I need sleep!

Cheers,
