Is it possible for me to pursue Mtech in Astronomy after Btech in IT, in India? Please help
Pursuing an M.Tech in Astronomy after completing a B.Tech in IT in India is not a standard pathway. However, candidates can opt for an M.Sc. in Physics with a specialization in Astronomy, provided they clear the necessary entrance exams. These exams require a solid understanding of B.Sc. Physics subjects, which may not be thoroughly covered in engineering curricula. Therefore, prospective students should prepare for these subjects to enhance their eligibility for the M.Sc. program.
PREREQUISITESStudents with a B.Tech in IT considering a transition to Astronomy, academic advisors, and individuals interested in interdisciplinary studies between engineering and physics.
