Need to chose a sensor for a presentation

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion centers on selecting a simple sensor for a presentation that can be effectively explained in three slides. Participants suggest various sensors, including voltmeters, pH meters, osmolarity meters, pressure gauges, and photosensors. Additionally, they propose discussing a chip log or log line for measuring velocity as an uncomplicated option. The goal is to choose a sensor that has not been previously covered in detail, such as accelerometers or thermocouples.

PREREQUISITES
  • Basic understanding of sensor technology
  • Familiarity with measurement principles
  • Knowledge of presentation techniques
  • Awareness of common sensors and their applications
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the working principles of voltmeters
  • Explore the applications of pH meters in various fields
  • Investigate osmolarity meters and their significance in biology
  • Learn about the functionality of pressure gauges in industrial settings
USEFUL FOR

This discussion is beneficial for students, educators, and professionals preparing presentations on sensor technology, as well as anyone interested in understanding basic measurement devices.

As stated I need to chose a somewhat simple sensor (needs to be fully explained in 3 slides) for a short presentation. I cannot use anything we have discussed at length (accelerometer, strain gauge, thermocouple, LVDT).

Any ideas?

Thanks
