I'm looking for ideas for an experiment that we get to choose ourselves. It should be at the level of a first year physics student and use equipment that is either found at home or that any physics department should have.

Does anyone have some cool ideas? I'm finding it hard to think of anything.

Build a flamethrower...... and then calculate the trajectory of the flames .
