[Paper and presentation] Mechanics in Computer

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on a group assignment to write a paper and create a presentation on mechanics, with a focus on selecting a specific topic. The chosen topic is rotational mechanics in CD-ROMs, and the poster seeks suggestions for additional resources such as articles, images, and videos. They mention using Google Images and YouTube for research. The poster is open to feedback on the topic's relevance and any other trending topics in mechanics research. Overall, the aim is to gather useful materials to enhance their project on rotational mechanics.

Homework Statement

Hi guys!
I have pre-midterm assignment in group to write a paper an d a presentation on the screen about mechanics. My group gives me a job to decide more specific topic and to search the matter (articles, pictures, videos, etc.) also about that specific one.
Do you think our topic is good? Any other interesting or hot topic (due to the trend of mechanics research recently)?

Homework Equations

Equations would be essential in that paper: I think it would be such:
$ \theta=\theta_0+\omega_0t+ \frac{1}{2} \alpha^2$
or
$F=ma$

The Attempt at a Solution

Actually I have decide the specific topic is: rotational mechanics in CD-ROM,.
I have tried picture-googling to find a CD picture, and see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD-ROM" .
Youtube also would be very valuable in search of video.
What kind of other matters I was suggested to search? Where?

Sorry, I don't see that I've made double thread. I don't mind if this thread would be deleted. :)

Thread 'Voltmeter readings for this circuit with switches'
TL;DR Summary: I would like to know the voltmeter readings on the two resistors separately in the picture in the following cases , When one of the keys is closed When both of them are opened (Knowing that the battery has negligible internal resistance) My thoughts for the first case , one of them must be 12 volt while the other is 0 The second case we'll I think both voltmeter readings should be 12 volt since they are both parallel to the battery and they involve the key within what the...
Thread 'Struggling to make relation between elastic force and height'
Hello guys this is what I tried so far. I used the UTS to calculate the force it needs when the rope tears. My idea was to make a relationship/ function that would give me the force depending on height. Yeah i couldnt find a way to solve it. I also thought about how I could use hooks law (how it was given to me in my script) with the thought of instead of having two part of a rope id have one singular rope from the middle to the top where I could find the difference in height. But the...
