i am going to participate in a hackathon and its open domain so i need to come up with a problem statement and i dont know what problem statement to choose and i dont have enough time to research it and last time participating in a hackathon i failed due to not choosing a correct problem statement and i dont want that to happen again. so you guys face any problem that requires a software solution and like do you guys have any idea but postponding it due to time constrain, please lend me your idea and like the hackathon ppt submission timimg is going to be completed by tomorrow so guys be fast and if you are seeing this thread later please dont hesitate to share your problem or idea because it might be helpful for me in the future

Can you give us a link to the hackathon rules or some other thing that says what the problem statement should contain?

Also, paging @TensorCalculus who has experience running hackathons.

Okay so a couple of questions:

1. "Open domain hackathon" refers to what, exactly? A hackathon without a set theme?
2. What was wrong with your previous question (what was it, and what did the judges not like about it)?
3. How is the judging done (just judged by set people or voted on) and what ages are the hackathon aimed at?
4. Is there a website for this hackathon? If you sent it over I could take a look at the details (e.g. how long the hackathon is, what resources you have, team sizes etc) which could help us find a good problem.
5. What programming languages/tools are you good at? This is a big factor in wanting to make good hackathon projects!

1. yeah i think so
2.i participated in sih all india ahckathon to go to national level we need to clear the internal college round. our team cleared ppt round and the for a problem we proposed a correct solution and during hackathon my friend did he backend and i need to build a app frontend but i failed but we build a working backend whatever feature we promised on ppt we made it except making it a mobile app we made it as a website but still it was working but they didnt select our project. i gave up on frontend becayse the judge came to us and said forget frontend focus on backend so i left it but they didnt select us. when i asked the seniors they said it doesent sound really big and complicate and dosent have social impact and does not generate revenue but as the problem statement described we proposed a solution and did it but still they didnt select my project https://www.sih.gov.in/sih2025PS link for the website and the problem statement number is 25016. still dont know the real and proper reason but i feel likeit was because of the problem statement
3.i think its is done by set of people .no info related is mentioned

Thread 'In the early days of electricity, they didn't have wall plugs'
Hello scientists, engineers, etc. I have not had any questions for you recently, so have not participated here. I was scanning some material and ran across these 2 ads. I had posted them at another forum, and I thought you may be interested in them as well. History is fascinating stuff! Some houses may have had plugs, but many homes just screwed the appliance into the light socket overhead. Does anyone know when electric wall plugs were in widespread use? 1906 ad DDTJRAC Even big...
