Why am I still receiving email notifications after deactivating email options?

Users experiencing continued email notifications after deactivating options may still receive alerts from previously followed threads. To stop these notifications, it is recommended to unwatch or unsubscribe from those threads and then rewatch or resubscribe with updated preferences. Managing notifications can also be done through the watched threads page. The issue may stem from the interaction between email and push notifications. Properly adjusting settings can resolve the problem of unwanted email alerts.

I do not want email notifications, so I deactivated all email options; but, I am still getting email notifications. At the same time, I do like getting the Push notifications on my web browser so I still have those activated. Is that the reason I am still getting email notifications?

Are the mail notifications from old threads?

I sometimes get email notifications from threads that I followed before changing my preferences.

If so, you can fix that by first Unwatching/Unsubscribing from the thread, and then Watch/Subscribe with the new option selected. That's how I turned off e-mail notifications in the old threads that I'd subscribed to.

That is what I needed. Thanks

Good afternoon, This is not Paul, but rather his son Robert. I am very sad to write here that my dad passed away on Saturday after mounting health issues. He spoke often of his pleasure at reading and participating on this forum and was very pleased at the times he received one of the community awards. Thank you all for the time you spent here with him. Robert
