SUMMARY

This discussion focuses on the potential applications of mini-drones, specifically regarding their use in indoor environments and their interaction with larger aircraft engines. Users expressed curiosity about whether mini-drone propellers could effectively eliminate small pests like cockroaches and the risks associated with mini-drones colliding with turbojet engines during takeoff or landing. The conversation highlights the need for safer pest management solutions and raises concerns about the implications of drone interference with aviation safety.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of mini-drone mechanics and capabilities
  • Knowledge of aviation safety protocols
  • Familiarity with pest control methods
  • Awareness of the impact of foreign objects on aircraft engines
NEXT STEPS
  • Research effective pest control alternatives to mini-drones
  • Learn about aviation safety regulations regarding foreign object debris (FOD)
  • Explore the mechanics of mini-drone propellers and their impact force
  • Investigate the effects of bird strikes on turbojet engines
USEFUL FOR

I tried my nephew mini-drone inside my room and it's quite interesting.. it can hover in mid air and you can really navigate it. Some questions.

1. Sometimes there are flying cockroaches in my room. Can the minidrones propellers kill them when they come in contact with them? I may buy one for this application.

2. What happens if a toy mini drone come in contact with the in take inlets of turbojets like the 747 during take off or landing, can it shut down or damage the engine? I heard birds can do that.. how many birds minimum before a turbojet in take manifold gets destroyed?

There must be better ways to manage cockroaches than potentially damaging your drone.

We will leave this question unexplored due to the potential for misuse of information.
