3rd Strike, remake of paranoid.

And before people go whining about some crappy band remaking a great song, understand that Sharon Osbourne signed them up. Ozzy also apporoved.

They've been around a few years now, there a pretty good band. I remember hearing Paranoid for the first time, and truly thought it was Ozzy singing with them.

http://www.musicsonglyrics.com/0/3rd%20Strike/3rd%20Strike%20-%20Paranoid%20lyrics.htm

here, an easy one to get things rolling again:

Agony is the price
That you'll pay in the end
Domination consumes you
Then calls you a friend
It's a twisted fall
binds are like steel
And manipulates the will to be
And it's hard to see
How soon we forget
When there's nothing else
Left to destroy
It's a useless ploy

megashawn, if it's in quotes, it won't show up when I choose to "reply with quote".

Anyway, that answer is:

Your eyes will see
The dawn of the day
And the writing
On the wall
Those words that stare
Into your soul
And to yourself
You will befall

I could be wrong on a couple of words , but it's Domination by Pantera, right?

Alright, my next one is...

***********************
Stare as eyes uphold me
And wait to see right through
And curse me... The love has crippled you

Shadows haunt the night
Burning my disguise

***********************

Not sure if anyone will get this one, but I love this band!

Yeah, there's just no competing with you. Do you do anything else (besides listening to rock music)?

haha, I'd really throw you for a loop if I spit out some rap lyrics then. I'm also a fan of rap, not all of it, but some of the better stuff.

I got a few hobbies, most of which I can do while listening to music, soo.

And plus a boring button pushing job leads to lots of time speant with Launchcast.

Hey, megashawn, I don't think anyone's going to get this one. If you know, go ahead an post the answer and a new one. Just...be gentle.

Paradise lost, as I die

______

I'm not the one who made the world what it is today
I'm not the one who caused the problems started long ago
But now I deal with all the consequences that troubles our times
I carry on and never once have even questioned why
I'm innocent
But the wieght of the world is on my shoulders
I'm innocent
But the battles started are far from over
We're not the ones who leave the homeless in the streets at night
We're not the ones who've kept minorities and women down
Still we grow and then the problems they become our own
We carry on without even realizing why

oh, I know, I know - it's Offspring: Not the one

It's time to cut the slack now
you are going to hear me balin' truth
Back out from the underworld I'm here now
I've got something to prove
So hush and keep up now, serious, I'm telling you that
she's one of a kind
Keep all your fingers to yourself
I'm here to take back what's mine...

Yeah. Did the originator of this thread give a time-limit, before we're allowed to just google for it (or say "give up", and have the previous poster give the answer and post the next set of lyrics)?

Well, even if s/he didn't, I give up.

Yea, 3 days sounds good enough doesn't it, or should i make that 72 hours?

  • #73

I don't know, man, I like 1,440 minutes better. If absolutely necessary, you could move it up to 86,400 seconds, but no further.

Well, I asked a friend, and he said that it was a band called "E type" or something (not sure how it's spelled), but he didn't remember the name of the song.

You should probably "give it away" and go on to another one (preferably not by this same band, since I've never heard of 'em ).

  • #77
true, it's E-Type - I just want to be with you
it's a pretty good band, you shoul listen sometines

try this one:

With a solar knife I split the sky
And walk right in between,
To search the answers to every "why?"
Where I have seen the unseen.

Oh well, I hope someone else gets it.

you know I could have bet that this band was on this topic before... anyway it's Tiamat - Visionaire

ok, I'll try this one

She always takes it with a heart of stone,
'Cause all she does is throw it back to me
I've spend a lifetime looking for someone.
Don't try to understand me,
Just simply do the things I say...

  • #81
not too many pop fans here I see...
[al](always wanted to put that symbol in a post)

  • #82
Whats that symbol supposed to be? All i can think of is "heart of stone" but i know it isn't that.

  • #83
The symbol is an 'aleph', which comes from Hebrew and in maths it is used to denote the cardinalities of infinite sets.

  • #84
Nice one.

  • #85
I think that Guybrush is making these lyrics up!

A leather jacket and nothing to lose.
