How can you criticize guybrush for missing a few, when you missed the most important one!

"Forgive them they teared down my soul
Bless them that they might grow old
And free them so that they may know
That it's never too late"

You bloody cheeky pikey! You come along into my thread and then post some lyrics without answering which song my last lyrics came from, that was the idea of this thread, 1 persons posts lyrics another person answers then that same person puts their own lyrics in the post simple.

So back to where i got,

"Forgive them they teared down my soul
Bless them that they might grow old
And free them so that they may know
That it's never too late"

So many times that I've seen life before me
I searched and found the way to choose to the end
I found a way, to know, why it had to be
Mired in denial and saw all the rain

If we ever find it true
Love will have its way to choose
Three more to tame
We can be ever

GNR Madagascar

I just couldn't remember the name of the song. And hey, I thought I'd at least qualify for limey bas***d
now solve mine:wink:

Bloody Pikey, can't even cheat properly.

Madagascar

I won't be told anymore
That I've been brought down in this storm
And left so far out from the shore
That I can't find my way back, my way anymore

No I won't be told anymore
That I've been brought back in this storm
And left so far out from the shore
That I can't find my way back, my way anymore

No, I..
No, I...

Forgive them that tear down my soul
Bless them that they might grow old
And free them so that they may know
That it's never too late

For the many times would seem like a memory
I searched and found the way to choose to the end
I found the ways, why it had to be
Mired in denial and so afraid

If we ever find it soon
That we have the strength to choose
Free the ball, the chain
We built together

(Quotes) ****(please see below)

I won't be told anymore
That I've been brought down in this storm
And left so far out from the shore
And I can't find my way back, my way anymore

No I won't be told anymore
That I've been brought back in this storm
And left so far out from the shore
That I can't find my way back, my way anymore

and your last one would be,

All You Need Is Love
The Beatles (Lennon/McCartney)

Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It's easy.
There's nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be in time
It's easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
There's nothing you can know that isn't known.
Nothing you can see that isn't shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be.
It's easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
All you need is love (all together now)
All you need is love (everybody)
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.

Same bodies buried hungry
But with different last names
The vultures robbin everything
Leave nothing but chains
Pick a point on the globe
Yes the pictures the same
There's a bank, there's a church, a myth and a hearse
A mall and a loan, a child dead at birth
There's a widow pig parrot
A rebel to tame
A whitehooded judge
A syringe and a vein

Obviously, "Calm Like a Bomb" by Rage Against the Machine.

Alright, my next one is:

I can't seem to find out what I feel
Burned out dreams of others which I can steal
Take or leave this way I seem to you, it eats right through you
Ripped up parts of things I should do, I'll run around and tell you screaming...

I (or even we) give up, please tell the answer... and let's continue with more music

  • #47
It's "Live a Lie", by Default.

Anyway I guess I should post another one, right? This one should be easy:

(When this began)
I had nothing to say
And I get lost in the nothingness inside of me
(I was confused)
And I let it all out to find/
That I’m not the only person with these things in mind

Come on, this is an easy one. Let's keep this thread going, people.

somewhere i belong, linkin park!
i must admit, i don't listen to them much, but its on the radio enough for me to figure out.

this shouldn't be too bad:

Queen of Light took her bow
And then she turned to go
The Prince of Peace embraced the gloom
And walked the night alone
Oh, dance in the dark of night
Sing to the morning light
The dark Lord rides in force tonight
And time will tell us all
Oh, throw down your plow and hoe
Rest not to lock your homes
Side by side we wait the might
of the darkest of them all

That's the "Battle of Evermore", but I can't remember who sang it (Led Zepplin comes to mind, for some reason...).

Can I post the next one anyway?

  • #51
Yea the battle of evermore by led zeppelin sounds about rite. I mite as well go now this is an easy one and no doubt mentat will be the first to read this anyway.

"My hearts in overdrive and your behind the steering wheel."

'Touching you, touching me
Touching you god you're touching me'

The Darkness - I Believe in a Thing called Love

Ooh ooh my go!

'The blind men shout but the creature's out
We'll show the unbelievers,
The napalm screams of human flames
Of a prime time Belsen feast...YEAH!'

lol

Im guessin no-one knows the answer...tch disgraceful, but I am not writing a new one out!

  • #55
sorry just saw your lyrics (busy at work)

Iron Maiden - 2 minutes to midnight (great album - Powerslave I mean )

now for something new:

I was told there's miracle for each day that I try
I was told there's a new love that's born for each one that has died
I was told there'd be no one to call on when I feel alone and afraid
I was told if you dream of the next world,
You'll find yourself swimming in a lake of fire...

As a child
I thought I could live without pain
Without sorrow
But as a man
I've found it's all caught up with me
I'm asleep yet I'm so afraid

too late to bow my head and prey
hate flowing through my veins

just a victim a casualty
war waged on humanity
lost my way in the darkness of the daylight
cant run can't hide
no love no fight
brought to my knees by this fate i can't avoid
scared of my own shadow its a battle living paranoid
make a joke and i will sigh

Happiness I can not feel;
So love to me is so unreal.
And so as you hear these words;
Telling you now of my state.
I tell you to enjoy life;
I wish I could but its too late.

"Paranoid" by Black Sabbath

Here's mine:

Standing on the corner, suitcase in my hand,
Jack is in his corset, and Jane is in her vest, and, me,
I'm in a rock'n'roll band.
Riding in a Stutz-Bearcat, Jim
You know, those were different times.
Oh, all the poet, they studied rules of verse,
And the ladies, they rolled their eyes.

"Paranoid" by Black Sabbath

Sorry Tom, I said I was too mean for a reason.

But you are wrong, see the following:

http://www.black-sabbath.com/discog/paranoidlyrics.html#paranoid

The lyrics I mentioned are not in the song.

____________

I guess since someone got it wrong I'll give a hint. I mentioned it recently in another post. Its one of the most things a baseball player fears most.

Come on people? Need to broaden your horizons or something.

I'll give it another day and give the answer.

Of and tom, you were partially correct. Wrong artist.

  • #60
After using google, i have to say who? never heard of them, and i thouhgt i had heard of most bands.

3rd Strike, remake of paranoid.

And before people go whining about some crappy band remaking a great song, understand that Sharon Osbourne signed them up. Ozzy also apporoved.

They've been around a few years now, there a pretty good band. I remember hearing Paranoid for the first time, and truly thought it was Ozzy singing with them.

http://www.musicsonglyrics.com/0/3rd%20Strike/3rd%20Strike%20-%20Paranoid%20lyrics.htm

here, an easy one to get things rolling again:

Agony is the price
That you'll pay in the end
Domination consumes you
Then calls you a friend
It's a twisted fall
binds are like steel
And manipulates the will to be
And it's hard to see
How soon we forget
When there's nothing else
Left to destroy
It's a useless ploy

megashawn, if it's in quotes, it won't show up when I choose to "reply with quote".

Anyway, that answer is:

Your eyes will see
The dawn of the day
And the writing
On the wall
Those words that stare
Into your soul
And to yourself
You will befall

I could be wrong on a couple of words , but it's Domination by Pantera, right?

Alright, my next one is...

***********************
Stare as eyes uphold me
And wait to see right through
And curse me... The love has crippled you

Shadows haunt the night
Burning my disguise

***********************

Not sure if anyone will get this one, but I love this band!

  • #63
I believe you even got the words right mentat.

I know yours, but I'm going to let someone else get it. I'm to mean.

Yeah, there's just no competing with you. Do you do anything else (besides listening to rock music)?

  • #65
haha, I'd really throw you for a loop if I spit out some rap lyrics then. I'm also a fan of rap, not all of it, but some of the better stuff.

I got a few hobbies, most of which I can do while listening to music, soo.

And plus a boring button pushing job leads to lots of time speant with Launchcast.

  • #66
Hey, megashawn, I don't think anyone's going to get this one. If you know, go ahead an post the answer and a new one. Just...be gentle.

Paradise lost, as I die

______

I'm not the one who made the world what it is today
I'm not the one who caused the problems started long ago
But now I deal with all the consequences that troubles our times
I carry on and never once have even questioned why
I'm innocent
But the wieght of the world is on my shoulders
I'm innocent
But the battles started are far from over
We're not the ones who leave the homeless in the streets at night
We're not the ones who've kept minorities and women down
Still we grow and then the problems they become our own
We carry on without even realizing why

  • #68
oh, I know, I know - it's Offspring: Not the one

It's time to cut the slack now
you are going to hear me balin' truth
Back out from the underworld I'm here now
I've got something to prove
So hush and keep up now, serious, I'm telling you that
she's one of a kind
Keep all your fingers to yourself
I'm here to take back what's mine...
