Well u arent right with any of them! The band split up JUST before GNR got big, and the lead singer has appeared in two GNR songs just for some help Andy. For non-GNR fans, the group is Finnish.

What happened to your mighty pirate cutlass Guybrush?

Ok the Answer is *drum roll* Hanoi Rocks - Motorvatin'
And the lead singer for you Andy was Michael Monroe.

I'll try another one shall i?

'So you think i got an evil mind
Well I'll tell you honey
And I don't know why, and i don't know why
So you think my singing's out of time
Well it makes me money
And i don't know why, and i don't know why
Anymore'

Quite a bit easier i feel

So cum on feel the noize
Girls rock your boys
We'll get wild, wild, wild
We'll get wild, wild, wild
Cum on feel the noize
Girls rock your boys
We'll get wild, wild, wild
Til dawn

Come on feel the noise, quiet riot. Covered by Oasis i beleive.

"It's a hot night, the natives are restless
We're sweating by the light of the moon
There's a voodoo mojo brewing at the go - go
That could knock a witch off her broom"

Uh not covered by oasis and not written by quiet riot... its Cum Feel the Noize by Slade! Quiet Riot covered it in the 80's, but Slade released it in Britain in the 70's.

"It's a hot night, the natives are restless
We're sweating by the light of the moon
There's a voodoo mojo brewing at the go - go
That could knock a witch off her broom"
We slither on in and shed our skin
Make our way into the bump and the grind
So I'm passing by, she gives me the eye
So I stop to give her a light

One wild night, Blinded by the moonlight
One wild night, Twenty four hours of midnight
One wild night, I stepped into the twilight zone
And she left my heart with vertigo
One wild, one wild night

Bon Jovi - One wild night

now something classic:
...and the Earth becomes my throne
I adapt to the unknown
under wandering stars I've grown
by myself but not alone
I ask no one...

"...and my ties are severed clean,
the less i have the more i gain
off the beaten path i reign
Rover, Wanderer
Nomad, Vagabond
Call me what you will"

Metallica - Wherever i may roam

my go again!

"I get up,and nothing gets me down
You got it tough
I've seen the toughest around.
And I know, baby just how you feel
You've got to roll with the punches
And get to what's real"

Ooh yeah, i was reading through the posts and i saw that no-one guessed andys signature so i suppose i ought to. It's Guns N Roses - The Blues. And i should know seeing as i played the song to him.

"Oh can't you see me standing here,
I've got my back against the record machine
I ain't the worst that you've seen.
Oh can't you see what I mean ?
Might as well jump. Jump !"

Rough sketch of the lyrics, but it's obviously "Jump" by Van Halen.

My turn:

In violent times...
You shouldn't have to sell your soul
In black and white...
They really really ought to know

Well, time's pretty much up, so I'll give the answer:

It's "Shout 2000" by Disturbed.

Alright, now I'll post another one:

How the hell did we wind up like this?
Why weren't we able,
to see the signs that we missed
And try turn the tables

I wish you'd unclench your fists,
and unpack your suitcase
Lately there's been too much of this
But don't think it's too late

Come on, people, this one's on the radio all the time where I live!

  • #106

"Someday somehow we going to make it alrite but not right now."

Thats all i can think of right now, next time it comes on the radio i will try and get the rest. Is that enough mentat?

Well, I guess I'll let you slide this time, Andy...you were right about the following lyrics, but it's "Someday" by Nickelback.

Andy's turn .

Have you seen a lady fairer?"

It's "She's a Rainbow" by the Rolling Stones, right?

Alright, my turn:

Say your prayers little one
don't forget, my son
to include everyone

tuck you in, warm within
keep you free from sin
till the sandman he comes

That was too easy!

Enter Sandman, Metallica,

"I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
Though I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?"

No offense, Andy, but you must be more of an old-timer than I would have thought ...

"There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight"

It's "Won't get fooled again" by The Who...I must confess that I have an older friend with me here, who knew this one. But I'll post the next song!

"Here we are again
Just face to facing
Each other another day
Who wins
Well who cares
It always ends up the same
Seems I knew I would"

...not perfectly positive on a couple of the words, but if you've heard the song, you'll recognize it (I think).

  • #115
Not an old timer, just prefer older music, Stones, The Who few bits like that but i am a Huge fan of Guns N Roses. Havent a clue about your last one though.

  • #116
Well, it's been long enough...the answer is "Breath" by Nickelback.

I'll post another one:

"In one moment
I’m goin all the way.
I make my poetry everyday.
And I’m frozen,
comin right on time
I froze my mind with that serious rhyme."

  • #117
"And I'm open comin up inside,
you know my mind has got a grand design
and I'm flowin, goin all the way,
I make my point to be everyday come on.
And I want to take you down,
but your soul cannot be found.
It doesn't matter much you see
cause your disease is killing me."

It's a song by...Kid Rock or Saliva or Linkin Park or Godsmack or something but its called 'Your Disease'

my go!

"You may not recall the moment
that you asked me
But your invitation was clear.
You'll pretend you've never met me
But its far too late
Now I'm here"

Where do you hear these songs, man? I've got no idea. I'm just posting to tell you that "Your Disease" is sung by Saliva.

Think of the band that wrote the song, "Kayleigh" and "Script for a Jester's Tear" and "Garden Party" in the 80's. Thats my clue.

"Marillion", is it? I have no idea what song this is though, and am not sure on the spelling of that name either... .
