SM/SC any good as fill Material?

Hey guys just classified some soil according to USCS.
Came up with either SM or SC.

Been searching for about an hour on them but haven't stumbled upon anything that states whether they are good as a fill material or not.

Any ideas?

It depends entirely on what you are going to put on top of the fill.
