Solving Magnetic Field Problems with Simulation Software

AI Thread Summary
CST software is being evaluated for its capability to simulate magnetic and electric fields in a closed space with inductors. Users are encouraged to share their experiences or suggest alternative simulation tools if CST is not suitable. The discussion references a previous thread on a similar topic for additional insights. The focus is on finding effective simulation solutions for electromagnetic field calculations. Participants are invited to contribute their knowledge on this matter.

Hi Everybody,

This is my first post here, and I hope I'm in the right place for my question...
I have a small problem , I need a simulation software that can calculate the magnetic (and optionally the electric) field in a closed space that is surrounded by an array of inductors.

Right now I'm trying to figure out whether CST can help me with this.
It would be really helpful if you could tell me if CST is what I need and if not, I would appreciate any suggestions on the subject.

Thanks,
IanTrout

Have a look at this thread in the EE forum from a while back. Is it of any help?

Hi all, I have a question. So from the derivation of the Isentropic process relationship PV^gamma = constant, there is a step dW = PdV, which can only be said for quasi-equilibrium (or reversible) processes. As such I believe PV^gamma = constant (and the family of equations) should not be applicable to just adiabatic processes? Ie, it should be applicable only for adiabatic + reversible = isentropic processes? However, I've seen couple of online notes/books, and...
Thread 'How can I find the cleanout for my building drain?'
I am a long distance truck driver, but I recently completed a plumbing program with Stratford Career Institute. In the chapter of my textbook Repairing DWV Systems, the author says that if there is a clog in the building drain, one can clear out the clog by using a snake augur or maybe some other type of tool into the cleanout for the building drain. The author said that the cleanout for the building drain is usually near the stack. I live in a duplex townhouse. Just out of curiosity, I...
