B Space news and events aggregator app

AI Thread Summary
A new application called Luna has been developed to aggregate news and events in the space industry, featuring launch schedules and tracking for the International Space Station. The app is currently available on the Play Store and includes features like a launch map, live video feeds from the space station, and Twitter updates from astronauts. Users are encouraged to provide feedback and reviews to help improve the app, which is still in its early stages. However, there is no iOS version available at this time. The app aims to serve as a comprehensive resource for space enthusiasts.

Hello PF,

I built a small application which I figured some users here may be interested in. The app aggregates news and events in the space industry, allows you to view launch schedules, track the space station, and more.

It's called Luna and an early version is available on the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=orbyt.spacehub

The app aims to be a one stop shop for news on space related events. It's still an early version, but has a few cool features, such as map where space launches are going to occur, live video from the space station, twitter feeds from astronauts on the space station, and other additional features.

Please check it out. Your reviews and feedback are appreciated. If you have questions, let me know.

Thanks to Greg Bernhardt for approving this post.

There isn't, unfortunately.

Is a homemade radio telescope realistic? There seems to be a confluence of multiple technologies that makes the situation better than when I was a wee lad: software-defined radio (SDR), the easy availability of satellite dishes, surveillance drives, and fast CPUs. Let's take a step back - it is trivial to see the sun in radio. An old analog TV, a set of "rabbit ears" antenna, and you're good to go. Point the antenna at the sun (i.e. the ears are perpendicular to it) and there is...
This thread is dedicated to the beauty and awesomeness of our Universe. If you feel like it, please share video clips and photos (or nice animations) of space and objects in space in this thread. Your posts, clips and photos may by all means include scientific information; that does not make it less beautiful to me (n.b. the posts must of course comply with the PF guidelines, i.e. regarding science, only mainstream science is allowed, fringe/pseudoscience is not allowed). n.b. I start this...
