It costs $500 just to attend, but it seems to be the only conference for high energy/ revolutionary / physics propulsion ideas. Has anyone gone or know anyone who has?

All the papers are in, the proceedings at the publishers, and an exciting program of speakers and technical sessions awaits attendees of this year’s Space Technology & Applications International Forum in Albuquerque, New Mexico. With STAIF-2006 only a little more than two weeks away, we’d like to share our latest news and updates.

NUCLEAR POWER AND EXPLORATION: THE NEW NEEDS: This special brown bag lunch is open to all attendees, Monday, February 13. Robert Sackheim, Assistant Director and Chief Engineer for Propulsion, NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, will chair the session.

HOTEL ROOMS: Albuquerque’s Hilton is filling up fast for the nights of the conference, February 12-16. We suggest you call their direct line, (505) 884-2500 to book your room, ASAP. In fact, on certain nights, the block of rooms reserved for conference attendees at the government rate is already filled. If you find that the Hilton doesn’t have room, the Fairfield Inn is next door and attached to the Hilton by an enclosed hallway. Give them a call at (505) 889-4000. Be certain to mention STAIF-06, and request your room at the convention rate. You can find more information about the Fairfield Inn at:
