Static & kinetic friction could cause motion??

Homework Statement

I have a question about friction. I was asked to discuss an example where static friction and kinetic friction could cause motion. One example for each. I have never learned friction causing motion and I thought of it but could not come up with anything that makes sense. I'll appreciate any examples you guys can think of. All I know is friction opposes motion.
Thanks

A plane would be one example. The friction can make the plane lift off the ground.
