Switching to OpenSUSE: Worried About Compatability?

hi every body
i want to install open suse and remove Windows 7 completely, But i worry about it's ability.
I don't know some software for example Mathematica, maple, and latex are compatible with suse or not.

I have no idea of what "suse" is, and if you're using Windows you might already be beyond hope, but I'll try to get the Mentors to transfer this to the Computer Science subforum.
 
Mathematica, Maple and LaTeX should all have Linux versions available.
do a Google search for '<program name> for Linux'

I checked for mathematica here's their website saying that they have a version compatible with openSUSE 11/12

I have a couple people at work that use Maple on Ubuntu at work so i know they have a Linux version as well.
