AI Thread Summary
To view a log of users on a wireless network, accessing the router's configuration page is essential, but not all routers maintain a user log, which may explain the absence of data under the Administration tab. If the installation CD for the router is missing, it is still possible to set a network password directly through the configuration page. For slow internet speeds, such as experiencing downloads at approximately 80 kb/s, users can consider purchasing a signal booster or range extender to enhance connectivity. The discussion centers around the Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router WRT54GL, which may have specific features and limitations regarding logging and performance enhancements.

1) Is there a way to view a log of who has been using my wireless network? I went to my router's configuration page, and there was a Log section under Administration tab, but I couldn't find a log.

2) I can't find the installation CD for my router, is it possible to set up a password for my network via the configuration page?

3) I recently set up a new desktop in my house, but the Internet is incredibly slow (AVG was downloading @ approx. 80 kb/s). Is there something I can purchase to boost the signal from the router?

Thanks,

What router do you have?

In my discussions elsewhere, I've noticed a lot of disagreement regarding AI. A question that comes up is, "Is AI hype?" Unfortunately, when this question is asked, the one asking, as far as I can tell, may mean one of three things which can lead to lots of confusion. I'll list them out now for clarity. 1. Can AI do everything a human can do and how close are we to that? 2. Are corporations and governments using the promise of AI to gain more power for themselves? 3. Are AI and transhumans...
Sorry if 'Profile Badge' is not the correct term. I have an MS 365 subscription and I've noticed on my Word documents the small circle with my initials in it is sometimes different in colour document to document (it's the circle at the top right of the doc, that, when you hover over it it tells you you're signed in; if you click on it you get a bit more info). Last night I had four docs with a red circle, one with blue. When I closed the blue and opened it again it was red. Today I have 3...
