Turbulence of square fractal grid

Click For Summary
Square fractal grid turbulence studies are significant for understanding complex fluid dynamics, particularly in enhancing mixing processes and improving flow characteristics in various engineering applications. The low thickness ratio of square fractal grids can influence turbulence intensity and flow uniformity, making them relevant for designs in aerodynamics and hydrodynamics. Researchers are exploring their potential in optimizing performance in systems like combustion engines and chemical reactors. The discussion emphasizes the need for further exploration of practical applications and invites links to relevant studies. Understanding these applications can lead to advancements in technology and efficiency in fluid-related industries.

Hi all, I've looked through design manuals (SDP/SI, Gates, Naismith) and textbooks like Shigley's, but haven't found an equation linking initial belt tension to pulley center-to-center distance for a timing belt. I understand initial tension is typically based on the applied load, but I'm curious: A) Is there a known equation relating tension to C-C distance? B) If not, how might one go about deriving it? Thanks in advance!
