SUMMARY

There is a need for a dedicated website that assists students in grades 11 and 12 with the pronunciation of biology and chemistry terms. While general resources like dictionary.com provide pronunciation guides, they may not cover specialized terminology adequately. Users are seeking a platform that offers a comprehensive list of introductory terms for repeated practice. Such a resource would significantly aid non-native English speakers in mastering subject-specific vocabulary.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of biology and chemistry terminology at the grade 11/12 level
  • Familiarity with online educational resources
  • Basic knowledge of English pronunciation rules
  • Experience with language learning tools or platforms

  • Explore language learning platforms that focus on scientific terminology
  • Investigate the effectiveness of pronunciation guides in online dictionaries
  • Look into community forums or resources for language learners in STEM fields
USEFUL FOR

This discussion is beneficial for students in grades 11 and 12 studying biology and chemistry, educators seeking resources for their students, and language learners aiming to improve their pronunciation of scientific terms.

I know someone who is doing biology and chemistry 11 and soon biology and chemistry 12, but has a hard time pronouncing all the terms (learning english)

Is there a website out there that helps people pronounce all the terms in biology and Chemistry, in a grade 11/12 level?

Thanks!

Do most of the terms show up at dictionary.com? If so, there are pronunciation guides in all dictionaries. Or are the terms too specialized for a general dictionary?

Oh I am not sure. I just thought there might be a site out there that just has a list of introductory chemistry and bio terms that someone can just go over and over and practice.

Thanks though
