There are a lot more but I can't remember.

My first concert was Blue Oyster Cult...it was in a huge venue that was so filled with marijuana smoke you couldn't see to the other side.

If a few weeks we're going to see Willie Nelson - woohoo!
You've seen John Lee Hooker? Oh man, what a treat.

I've been to Stones, Guess Who, Paul McCartney, and AC/DC. I've also seen a bunch of cover bands. Unfortunately, most of my faviorate artists are dead =/

I enjoyed the first show, and after I got married, I took my wife to see them. I grew up in the rockabilly era that they were parodying, and a lot of the local musicians dressed like hoods, with duck-a$$ hair-dos.

John Lee Hooker, Jr. just played here. I didn't see him but my dad did.

Well, it fell through, I'm not going to see the Foos the summer...

Here's a concert that never was: The Allman Brothers were scheduled to start a national tour in Bangor, and I had my tickets (for me and my GF), and shortly before the concert Dwayne got killed in a motorcycle accident. He had recently collaborated with Clapton on what would later be released as the "Layla" album (Derek and the Dominoes), and the promoters floated rumors that Clapton would sub for Dwayne and the tour would go on, but that was not to be - Dwayne's band-mates were in no shape to tour so soon after his death.

I missed a surprise performance in Bangor many years ago. There was a bar on the north end of town that had live bands every weekend, and though I liked the band that was playing that particular night, the bad weather kept me home (no car, riding thumb). As luck would have it, a transatlantic flight was forced to land in Bangor due to bad weather at the flight's destination, and after getting hotel rooms, the band on that flight got taxis to take them to a bar with live music. They wanted to play, and asked the local band if they could take the stage for a while. The local band (awestruck) gave up their instruments and the stage. After a couple of songs, the owner of the bar told the local band that he was paying them $300 to play (good money, back then) and if they ever expected to work his club again, they'd better get back on stage. The band that got kicked off the stage was the Spencer Davis Group with front-man Stevie Winwood. What a maroon!, as Daffy would say.
