Homework Help Overview

The discussion revolves around identifying geometrical shapes and angles in a provided diagram. Participants are exploring the relationships between various elements in the image, particularly focusing on angle measurements and their implications within the shapes present.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Assumption checking, Problem interpretation

Approaches and Questions Raised

  • Participants question the clarity of the problem, particularly what the variable 'x' represents in the context of the diagram. There is a call for the original poster to provide more context and their attempts at solving the problem. Some suggest using known theorems related to angles to approach the problem.

Discussion Status

The discussion is ongoing, with participants emphasizing the need for the original poster to engage more actively by sharing their work. There is a recognition of the importance of understanding the geometrical properties involved, but no consensus has been reached on a specific approach or solution.

Contextual Notes

Participants note the lack of information provided by the original poster, which hinders the ability to assist effectively. There is an emphasis on the expectation that the poster should demonstrate some effort before seeking help.

Well, at least you can show us the whole problem, and what you have done, instead of brandishing an image to us like that, and let everyone else do the guessing job. What's x? Is it OC, DC, AB, or DB? No-one knows.

It's not that fair, you know. Overall, it's your problem, you have to do it. It's not our problem. We can only help you. You should make, and show us some effort doing this, even if that it's incorrect.

So, let's tell us what have you done on this problem.

Well in the diagram is X DC or OC.
And i agree with VietDao29.
You must make an attemot at the problem and then ask.
We are not Homework Solvers we are Homework Helpers.

It seems x is meant to be the angle <CDB.

Hi Dave. You've got to use all sorts of theorems about angles that you've learned by now... as in, facts that allow you to work out one angle given another.

What geometrical shapes can you see in the picture? What facts do you know about angles in those shapes?

ETA: huh, just noticed the date stamps. Well, I wonder how he got on?
