Is there a video of that kind of scenario floating around youtube? Have not had any luck finding a video of such a scenario.

There was just a special on Discovery the other morning, quite a nice one at that, featuring our Sun. They showed a segment on GRBs and what might happen to Earth's ozone layer upon direct bombardment.. They had some nice cgi. Try searching Discovery's website if there's nothing on youtube.

You know what the title of the special is?

It was called "The Sun". It aired on the 10th at 12pm.

There is also a special on Discovery Science titled "The Death Star" (GRB's) that briefly illustrates this example as well.

This has also aired on the History Channel, may have luck with their website.
