What if humans were artificial life forms (heh, and aliens for sure)?

AI Thread Summary
The discussion explores the concept of humans as artificial life forms, questioning the nature of existence and reality. It suggests that humans might be constructed entities, similar to artificial creations like a plate of spaghetti. The conversation introduces the idea that individuals could be computer-generated images designed to generate heat for machines. Additionally, it speculates on the potential for CRT screens to capture and transmit video feeds of their surroundings, hinting at a pervasive illusion akin to "The Matrix." The dialogue concludes with a commentary on the effects of drugs, implying they may enhance the belief in one's existence.

The question speaks for itself, pretty much. The term artificial could be defined as: Constructed, as in a fine plate of spaghetti.

Humans, well we all know what they are. Aliens, same deal.

Life, that which...which, nevermind.

what if you don't really exist? you're just a computer image created to pacify me while i generate body heat that machines use as power . . . :O

That's kinda where I was going with that.

Ah, and like a speaker can be used as a microphone, what if all CRT screens actually capture a video feed of the rooms they're in, and send a weak encoded signal all the way back to the power/monitoring facility. Who would ever know?

The Matrix...is everywhere.

the drugs, they're good aren't they?

I ... hear ..... and ... I ... o- ... -bey.

They're not THAT good, Joe. But you just keep taking them, if they make you believe you exist.

I think it's easist first to watch a short vidio clip I find these videos very relaxing to watch .. I got to thinking is this being done in the most efficient way? The sand has to be suspended in the water to move it to the outlet ... The faster the water , the more turbulance and the sand stays suspended, so it seems to me the rule of thumb is the hose be aimed towards the outlet at all times .. Many times the workers hit the sand directly which will greatly reduce the water...
