SUMMARY

A D-domain refers to a specific partition used in the analysis of AC machine systems, particularly in the context of complex parameter planes. The D-domain partition is utilized to plot the projection curve of the characteristic root plane's imaginary axis onto the U-V plane, as described in the book "AC Machine Systems" by Gao, Zhang, and Wang (Springer, 2009). The relationship H(jk) = Q(jk)/R(jk) = U(k) + jV(k) is fundamental in this analysis, where k ranges from -∞ to +∞ to derive U(k) and V(k) values.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of complex analysis in engineering
  • Familiarity with AC machine systems
  • Knowledge of parameter plane analysis
  • Basic grasp of projection curves in mathematical modeling
NEXT STEPS
  • Study the concept of D-domain partitions in depth

Does anyone know what a D-domain is and a D-domain partition?

Can you give some context? Did you see this in a particular book or paper?

H(jk)=Q(jk)/R(jk)=U(k)+jV(k). "...use the D-domain partition on single complex parameter plane...". "During the calculation, take k=-inf to +inf to get a series of U(k) and V(k) values and then to plot the projection curve of the characteristic root plane imaginary axis on the U-V plane, namely H complex-plane, which is the D-domain partition boundary on H-plane".
