SUMMARY

The permittivity of Al2O3 (alumina) polished to over 95% is a critical factor in its electrical properties. The relative permittivity, also known as the dielectric constant, can be found on resources such as the website provided by Accuratus. Additionally, the permittivity of Al2O3 is frequency dependent, which is essential for applications in electronics and materials science.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of dielectric materials and their properties
  • Familiarity with the concept of relative permittivity
  • Knowledge of frequency dependence in electrical properties
  • Access to materials science resources or databases
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the frequency dependence of dielectric materials
  • Explore the electrical properties of Al2O3 in various applications
  • Study the methods for calculating permittivity in materials
  • Review resources on dielectric constants from reputable materials science websites
USEFUL FOR

Materials scientists, electrical engineers, and anyone involved in the study or application of dielectric materials and their properties.

Hi

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the permittivity of Al2O3 >95% polished, or how to calculate it? Any useful electrical properties websites or books would be much appreciated.

Also I was wondering if the the permittivity was frequency dependent?

Thanks in advance
